« How can we continue to be creative in these chaotic times ? » Lucas Ossendrijver, the designer of Lanvin, asks.  “We are continuously inundated with information, we move from one thing to the next without stopping, we have a limited attention span. Normally, I try to fight trends and try other things but the only answer to the question in the end was to accept this movement and use it positively to continue moving forward. This gave meaning to the notion of zapping from one thing to the next and combining opposing elements to see what could happen. You can always see poetry, even in chaos. I believe it’s my duty, after all, to find softness and elegance in everything.  »

For this show, Lucas Ossendrijver assemble two antithetical styles: the « workwear » and the tailor.
The one and the other form only one for a rendering of great elegance, while modernizing the whole. For example, the t-shirts and the sweatshirts are « cut for a drape effect, like a trompe l’oeil« .
But this alliance is also present until the very presentation of the show. Indeed, models are not known and have been, for most, encountered in the street. This fusion between the modernity of these young men and the haute couture of Lanvin highlights the designer’s original idea and brings a great poetry to this show.
