What do you like most about yourself? And what about others?

What I like most about myself is my resilient nature & strong sense of independence, despite my small size. I also like people that are compassionate.

What risk would you take if you knew you could not fail?

Pursue filmmaking again. Which I intend on, but I was in the middle of making a documentary last year when all my gear and belongings were stolen & never recovered. I’m starting from scratch.

“I’d like to get married one day, but with the right person who’s willing to put in the effort and commitment.”

What do you feel most connect with? Why?

I connect the most with art, whether that be through dance, music, writing or visual art. For the longest time I felt the societal pressure to pursue an “actual career” & as an Indian, the pressure is high to pursue a STEM degree to prove your self worth not only to your family, but to a nation. When I tried not only did I feel burdened by some type of obligation, I felt restless and depressed. When I rediscovered art & chose to follow my passion was when I felt truly liberated. I like that I can still be political and shed light on important issues through it. I like that I can make art that directly connects people & communities.

“When I rediscovered art & chose to follow my passion was when I felt truly liberated.”

Do you want to get married?

I think marriage is a wonderful union, but we’re so afraid of building on our love these days! Everything is based on instant gratification.. I’d like to get married one day, but with the right person who’s willing to put in the effort and commitment.

What’s something you wish you could tell everyone in the world?

If we focused on the poor, the world would be rich but unfortunately, we often give precedence to the other way around.
