Di Huang is a Fashion editor, poet and designer. Now she’s based in Shanghai after 7 year journey in Sydney, Atlanta, Philadelphia and New York. On weekends, she turns into ‘PLASTIKSTRAWBERRY’. Her design mainly focus on select groups of people of very different ages and geographical regions.
This is Di’s attempt at breaking stereotypes, and to invite the world to a cultural vision that intimately reflects her personal experiences.
PLASTIKSTRAWBERRY concepts are largely size-free, with a kiss of vintage femininity – because size should never be a constraint to the fashion experience. Secondly, her garments boast an ethos of sustainability, notably through the use of natural materials such as plant-based fibres, herbs, and organic fabrics.
But she’s not stopping there. PLASTIKSTRAWBERRY wish to place greater emphasis on recycling, and reproduction techniques into the fabric and production process, to soften the garments’ environmental impact. And to finally bring these designs into the future, she wish to include high-tech elements to adorn the designs.
