Louis Vuitton Cruise 2019

On Monday, Nicolas Ghesquière presented Louis Vuitton‘s Cruise 2019 collection — his fifth for the house (and with more to come, having just renewed his contract with LVMH) — from the medieval town of Saint-Paul de Vence on the the French Riviera. As a designer known for his at times eccentric, always wearable proportions and blasts of blazing color and texture, Ghesquière’s latest may have been his most daring yet. But however quirky (and overtly ’80s-inspired) it may have been, the range contained a stable of sure-fire staples that we can already expect to see everywhere next year.
