Brian Donnelly, aka KAWS, and his wife, artist Julia Chiang invite Gay Gassmann and Architectural Digest into their Brooklyn, New York home. A tour of the home, given by daughter Sunny Donnelly, underscores the couple’s love for art and the appreciation for other artists. Donnelly speaks candidly with Gassmann, discussing how his home came to be; working with interior designer and longtime collaborator Masamichi Katayama in creating a space that houses his art as well as his family. In addition to Gassmann’s words, Donnelly’s space is captured by photographer Jason Schmidt, highlighting pieces by noted artists like Barry McGee, Carroll Dunham, Takashi Murakami and George Condo.
