The ‘brand as badge’ mentality doesn’t hold much value. When it comes to luxury, it’s just as much about where it’s from, as who it’s for.

The TOKYOJIN Stories are a five-part video series produced for the TOKYOJIN pop-up, a curation by BEAMS for Harvey Nichols, that feature distinct areas of Tokyo and four distinct heroes. The series are a special production by the creative minds at poweredby.tokyo, who are a community driven initiative that aims to capture, document and communicate Tokyo’s unique urban culture through the insight and experience of the very people that shape it.
