EILEEN FISHER AND SEVEN WOMEN SHARE THE WORDS THAT BEST EXPRESS THEIR POWER IN THE POWER IN THE WORDS OF WOMEN CAMPAIGN
What is power? Is it wealth? Influence? Leadership?
For Eileen Fisher, power comes in many forms. The designer’s ‘Power in the Words of Women’ campaign, the latest chapter of the designer’s mission to empower women and girls, celebrates the women making an impact on the world and their power.
London-based photographer Abbie Trayler-Smith shot the portraits for the campaign that includes Fisher herself with Eileen Fisher Remade designer Carmen Gama and six additional women that are changing the world such as Amanda Gorman, Youth Poet Laureate of the US; Just Ask Me Founder Nicole Jennings; Kathryn Finney, the Founder & Managing Director of digitalundivided; Mama Hope CEO Nyla Rodgers; Erikka Electra James, the Director of High School Programming at the Lower Eastside Girls Club; and Colleen Saldman Yee, Urban Zen Co-founder and Author of Yoga For Life.
The women have their own power word that best captures how they’re changing the world in their own way. Kathryn and Nicole have similar power words with ‘knowledge’ and ‘education,’ respectively, and Erikka and Colleen also have related power words with ‘community’ and ‘mindfulness’ is power.
Each face of the campaign is connected through their power words, and also in their missions to change the world for the better. Though the campaign is intended to empower women and girls around the world, it is a very inspiring and uplifting message for all
