NEW YORK — For all the handwringing this summer over the state of New York Fashion Week, Tom Ford hardly broke a sweat Wednesday night to make the angst look downright silly. Truth is, Gotham is fortunate to have a man of Tom Ford’s standing in town willing to show his collection. And what a collection it was, elegantly bookended by with the opening and closing looks by the current face of Tom Ford, Binx. The campaign by Mario Sorrenti revealed a newer, ever more refined side of Binx when it broke in late July. That refinement was on display on the runway at the Seventh Regiment Armory, which was decked out in luscious carpeting and translucent curtains, all in an exquisite shade of pink. The collection itself radiated power, confidence, and luxury, the likes of which only Tom Ford and his $2 billion dollar signature business can marshal. Joining Binx on the runway were a further half dozen models from across the Next network including Marjan Jonkman, Hiandra Martinez, Leila Goldkuhl, Selena Forrest, Lineisy Montero, and Grace Hartzel. Tom Ford has set the bar high this week, if not season, as too have Binx and co.
