Ganni has always set a high bar for Scandinavian style, a Danish brand that is doing something bizarre and brilliant, completely ambiguous in definition. Feminine, featuring ruffles and floral prints regularly, yet predictability is far from the label’s forte. Unique layering, along odd, inspired tailoring, that combines references from a seemingly dichotomous plethora of decades come together with a sweet, strange seamlessness in the Spring/Summer 2018 line. Here is evidence of Ganni’s success— the ability to put 90’s JNCO pants alongside a flowery frock, sneak in some 1950’s grandmotherly vintage vibes, a bra top or two, add in a blindingly bright orange as an overall color theme— and make it work wonderfully.
