Araki’s ‘Sentimental Journey, 1971 – 2017’ Exhibit

In celebrating its 20th anniversary, the Tokyo Metropolitan Museum of Photography is holding an exhibit entitled “Sentimental Journey, 1971 – 2017”, highlighting the works of infamous photographer Nobuyoshi Araki. Photographing for over 50 years and releasing more than 350 books, Araki’s work is noted for spanning subjects and genres, but always for its salient impact. The inherent focus of this exhibit is Araki’s own wife, Yoko; from their meeting in the 60’s until her death in the 90’s, Yoko remained his most important subject. The exhibit runs until September 24th, 2017.
