hile searching for alternatives to traditional gallery canvases, Marguerite happened upon the idea of drawing on apparel. “I started by drawing handsome boyfriends that I didn’t have, and then I drew pretty girls on their T-shirts,” says the La Cambre arts school alumnus. With the help of her siblings, the G.KERO brand was established in 2011. From there, the bohemian Bartherotte has carved a niche as one of the most idiosyncratic designers to have emerged out of France in recent years.
