According to several feedback comments that did the rounds on social media, Jaspal Singh used to be known to some as the “arrogant bearded b*****d manager” of the Hounds of the Baskervilles barbershop in Singapore. However, things changed when he reached a turning point in his life and didn’t want to go by that somewhat catchy moniker anymore. He is now trying his best to be known as the “arrogant bearded b*****d barber” of the Hounds of the Baskervilles. Unfortunately for him, he seems to be more liked as a barber than a manager …

Although gentleman style barbershops are commonplace now, the Hounds of the Baskervilles were pioneers in the movement and were the first in the region to bring back this age old tradition of classic style men’s barbering. Many naysayers have dismissed the barbershop trend as matter of style over substance, but Jaspal talks about the reasons why they’re doing what they do as well as his love of Red Wing Shoes.

Jaspal is wearing the 8176 Classic Work 6” Moc-toe boots with lug soles. The 8175 and 8176 styles were originally a Japan exclusive produced for around 20 years up to 2007 where they were discontinued. Due to popular demand from fans, they have been brought back and will be available throughout Asia for Fall/Winter 2016.
