PARIS — The night, however belonged to Saint Laurent and its maestro Anthony Vaccarrello. A larger stage of the Jardins du Trocadéro was secured Tuesday evening for a runway program that began promptly at 8 PM, which coincided with a dazzling light display from the Eiffel Tower in the background. The occasion was especially poignant for one Maria Miguel, Next’s Saint Laurent exclusive who opened the show and wore a further two looks on the runway. The Portuguese beauty was joined by another 11 models from across the Next global network including Hiandra Martinez, Binx, Aube, Erin Mommsen, Nicolas Le Boeuf, Noe Martin, Selena Forrest, Lucia Lopez, Moira Berntz, Oumie Jammeh, Anja Rubik. In the middle of that starting XI is also a trio of new boys from Next New York. There was something for everyone, but ultimately it would be hard to read this collection as anything but a paean to Paris. With Anthony Vaccarello in full voice like this, the song will be heard for and wide.
