Before the party itself began, this year’s Whitney Biennial artist Raúl de Nieves and Model Ashley Graham hosted a dinner, drawing an impressively celebrity crowd from all walks of art world association. During the dinner, special guest Young Paris performed.

A limited edition lithograph by artist Joe Bradley, who also attended the dinner, was on view. Trisha Baga created one of a kind artwork in collaboration with Birkenstock, which was also on display.

The actual Art Party was hosted by the Whitney alongside their co-chairs Zosia Mamet, Natasha Poly, Laura Kim,

The party proceeds benefit the Whitney’s Independent Study Program and other education initiatives.

The fall exhibitions on view for the evening, included Laura Owens, Jimmie Durham: At the Center of the World, Toyin Ojih Odutola: To Wander Determined, An Incomplete History of Protest: Selections from the Whitney’s Collection, 1940-2017, & Where We Are: Selections from the Whitney’s Collection, 1900–1960.
