For over 20 years, David Beckham has made headlines and graced hundreds upon hundreds of magazine covers due to his football-defining career and impeccable sartorial choices. Known the world over as one of the sport’s biggest stars, the British cultural icon’s journey has seen him representing some of the best teams including Manchester United, Real Madrid, A.C. Milan and Paris Saint-Germain.

Having spent his illustrious career alongside adidas, one of Beckham’s biggest moments — which helped to propel him to superstar status — was his Manchester United goal against Wimbledon from the halfway line back in 1996. Known as the “Golden Goal,” Beckham praises the adidas Predator — the silhouette he’s worn throughout his career — as the main factor for that stunning moment.

Continuing with their story, both adidas Football and David Beckham have teamed up for a new boundary-pushing footwear collection. The Beckham-helmed capsule will see a remastered “Triple White” Predator Accelerator as well as a “Triple Black” street version and a “Triple Red” cage iteration.

Beckham’s synonymous shirt numbers will also grace the heel of each model: “23” — worn during his time spent at Real Madrid and LA Galaxy — will mark the “Triple White” stadium boot; “32” — his PSG and A.C. Milan days — will mark the “Triple Black” street shoe; and finally the famous “7” — the number he wore during the majority of his Manchester United career and his time on the England National team — will grace the “Triple Red” cage version. Each shoe will be finished off in adidas’ signature Three Stripes branding along with a unique blending of the original Predator typeface with Beckham’s name and number. Beckham also went on to choose some of his best career moments which are stitched into the collar of each item of the collection.

On the project Beckham had this to say:

“When I look back on the best moments of my career, the one defining theme of them all is the adidas Predator. It has always been there, helping me play my best when it mattered most. That’s why when adidas offered me the chance to design an updated version of the boot for on-pitch, in the cage and on the street, I absolutely jumped at the chance.”
